First Aid with CPR Training

Starting from €595 for 12 people
 

This course is particularly suited to employees and those with an interest in learning first aid without the need to learn the use of an AED. The basic first aid course will enable participants to act as a back up to Occupational First Aiders in an occupational setting. It is designed to give you the skills and knowledge to provide first aid in common emergency, life-threatening, situations. 
 
It is a comprehensive course, covering all skills required to administer First Aid at home in the workplace, sports grounds, Schools, or in the community, keeping a casualty alive until the emergency services arrive. Participants will have plenty of practical practice and will take part in role play and scenarios including team cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
 
Course Content:
 
  • Responsibilities and Aims of a First Aider
  • Personal and Scene Safety
  • Infection Prevention and Control
  • Control of wounds and bleeding
  • Treatment for Shock
  • Fractures and Soft tissue Injuries
  • Choking
  • Recovery position
  • Adult CPR
 

Assessment/Certification:

Continuous Assessment throughout the course. No written exam required. Short practical exam in the application of bandages, slings & CPR. Certification of competency in Basic First Aid & Adult CPR  issued on successful completion of the course (valid for two years from the date of training).

Duration:

3.5 hours based on a 12 student to 1 tutor ratio. Smaller classes may require less time to complete the practical section of the course. 

Class size up to 12 people per 1 tutor ratio, training is delivered using both practical and theory based lessons.

 

Our Instructors:

All our tutors are fully Certified First Aid Responder Instructors and all come from Health & Safety backgrounds.

 

English is the language in which training is delivered. Please inform us in advance if you have any special requirements prior to attending.

Price: €695 per course for up to 12 participants. Free resuscitation mask per individual. Full certfication included.

Social distancing will be considered in the room size and venue so larger classes may not always be possible. Have a talk with one of our team about your venue size or we can provide the venue if requested.
