Replacing: Occupational First Aid – QQI (FETAC) Level 5

From the 1st of June 2018 the HSA will only recognise PHECC FAR as meeting the needs of OFA in workplaces.

Who is the course for:

There is a requirement under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 to have a sufficient number of First Aid Responders trained and deployed in the workplace.

Employers have specifically a duty to provide first-aid materials/equipment at all places of work where working conditions require it. Depending on the size and/or specific hazards of the workplace, trained occupational first aiders must also be provided.

For more information see the guidelines of the H.S.A. (Health and Safety Authority) on First Aid at the workplace.
